Easy Baked Beans
An easy baked beans recipe made with maple syrup and no bacon. They're the BEST baked beans from scratch. Healthy and ready in 30 minutes.

- 2 cans Great Northern Beans ((15-ounce cans))
- 1/4 cup , plus 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce ((omit, adding extra salt to taste, to make vegetarian))
- 1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion (finely diced)
Langkah-langkah
Rinse and drain beans. Set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, ketchup, maple syrup, tomato paste, Worcestershire, paprika, mustard, cumin, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium-high. Once the oil is hot, add the onion and sauté until fragrant and soft, about 2 minutes.
Add the barbecue sauce mixture and bring to a boil. Add the drained beans.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve warm.
