  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch ((DO NOT sub with arrowroot powder, or it will get gummy))
  • 3 tablespoons neutral-flavored cooking oil ((see Note 2))
