Royal Icing Recipe For Beginners

• 1/2 cup warm water (not hot) (plus an extra 4-5 tablespoons, go slow)
• 1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract (dark vanilla will tint your icing)
• 1/2 teaspoon almond extract**
• 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract**
• 1 tablespoon corn syrup
• 2 pounds powdered sugar (7 and 1/2 cups)
• gel food coloring (use a decent brand)
• drops of water (use a spray bottle, you need tiny baby amounts)
