Salted and Malted Nutella Caramel Cookies

• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
• 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
• 2/3 cup nutella
• 1 egg, room temperature
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
• 2/3 cup caramel bits (or baking caramels cut into tiny pieces)
• Sea salt, for topping
