Soft and Chewy Sugar Cookie Bars

• 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
• 1 & 1/2 cups granulated sugar
• 1 large egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 & 3/4 teaspoons almond extract
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 & 3/4 cups all purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 1 batch of Buttercream Frosting for Sugar Cookies
