  • 1 pound lean ground turkey ((I used 93% lean))
  • ¼ cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon hot sauce (such as Tabasco (optional))
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns (or buns of choice)
  • Thinly sliced or grated cheese
  • Sliced avocado
  • Other toppings of choice: tomatoes, lettuce, mayo (or my fave, nonfat Greek yogurt)
