  • 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes ((28 ounces))
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (I like to use fire roasted for extra flavor) ((14 ounces))
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
