- cooking spray
- 1/3 cup Panko (or breadcrumbs)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (grated )
- 2 teaspoons lemon rind (grated )
- 1 teaspoon canola oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon unsalted butter (melted )

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a bowl, combine Panko (or breadcrumbs), Parmesan cheese, lemon rind, canola oil, pepper, and salt.

Arrange the asparagus on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the asparagus and bake for an additional 4 minutes. Remove from the oven and drizzle with lemon juice and melted butter.
