Hummus Recipe

Hummus is a simple and inexpensive bean dip that requires no cooking. Serve it alongside some pita bread and veggies for the perfect appetizer!

Bahan-bahan

8 porsi
  • 15 ounces canned chickpeas (also known as garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed)
  • 2 ½ tablespoons tahini
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt ( or to taste)
  • ½ lemon (juiced, about 2 tablespoons)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • olive oil (and parsley for garnish)

Langkah-langkah

  1. Fill a small measuring cup with ice and add water. You'll need about ¼ cup of really cold water.

  2. Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor except water.

  3. Pulse a few times to get the blending started, scraping the sides as needed.  Drizzle in the ice water a bit at a time (about ¼ cup or so) until the mixture is very smooth, about 3-4 minutes.

  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil and garnish with parsley and a sprinkle of paprika or cumin.
