Loaded Taco Grilled Cheese

Loaded Taco Grilled Cheese is a deliciously crispy way to combine two of my favourite food groups - grilled cheese and tacos! Crunchy grilled bread with gooey melted cheese and a hit of Mexican flavour.

Bahan-bahan

4 porsi
  • 1 medium onion (, chopped)
  • 2 large ripe tomatoes (, chopped)
  • 16 oz extra lean ground beef mince prepared
  • 1 packet Old El Paso Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 8 slices bread of choice
  • 1 large avocado (smashed)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt to season
  • 1/2 cup spinach leaves
  • 1 cup prepared Taco mince (divided)
  • 2 large ripe tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup low fat/light mozzarella cheese (or cheddar)
  • 1/4 cup Taco tomato salsa
  • 1/4 cup light/low fat sour cream OR natural greek yoghurt (optional)

Langkah-langkah

  1. In a large nonstick pan, fry onion until transparent with cooking oil spray. Add tomatoes and cook until soft. Add mince and cook while breaking up with a wooden spoon. Add the seasoning and water and cook Taco mince to packet instructions. Set aside.

  2. Combine smashed avocado, salt to season and lemon juice. Mix well.

  3. Build sandwiches with 'guacamole,' spinach leaves, 1/4 cup taco mince per sandwich, tomatoes, cheese, salsa and sour cream/yoghurt (if including). Top with bread, and spray a little spray oil onto pan. Fry until browned on both sides, cooked through, and cheese has melted.
