  • 1 (15.25-ounce) vanilla cake mix
  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 ½ teaspoons milk

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 9 x 9 x 12-inch pan with parchment paper and light spray it with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Add 1 pound hulled, washed, and chopped strawberries to a blender or food processor and blend until they are completely pureed. Pour the puree through a fine mesh strainer to remove any seeds.

  3. Add 1 (15.25-ounce) vanilla cake mix and ¾ cup of the strawberry puree (discard or save any remaining puree for another recipe or use) to a large bowl and mix with a sturdy spoon or hand mixer. The batter will be very thick, almost like cookie dough.

  4. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 23-27 minutes, until it is fully set in the middle with no jiggle.

  5. Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely.

  6. Once the brownies are fully cooled, whisk ⅓ cup powdered sugar and 2 ½ teaspoons milk together in a small bowl and pour evenly over the top of them.

  7. You may serve the brownies right after they have been glazed, or you can chill them for 2-3 hours before serving to get the cleanest cuts.
